Who am I?

This is the blog of a guy who comes from a small town in rural America, and hopes to both achieve professional success and accumulate significant wealth. I am a future surgeon and investor halfway through medical school, who previously worked on Wall Street structuring equity finance investments at a major investment bank after graduating from a top Ivy League school with undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and economics.

I plan to use this blog to post and maintain my practical (and philosophical) musings on medicine, finance, and their intersections. I see biology and its application in medicine as my career, and economics and its application in finance as my passion, and my thinking, and consequently Stocks and Scalpels, reflects that.

Deep insight is neither promised nor guaranteed.
